Best bets: Renner takes over in 'Bourne Legacy'

By Gael Fashingbauer Cooper, NBC News

The?London Games?are still dominating television, but if you've already medaled in Olympics watching, we've picked three other fun entertainment options for the week ahead.

TUESDAY: 'Dr. Seuss' The Lorax' on DVD and Blu-ray
"Dr. Seuss' The Lorax" is a wildly colorful, if sometimes preachy take on the famed children's book. That's Danny DeVito as the furry orange Lorax, but Ed Helms steals the show as the Once-ler -- his hilariously catchy?"How Bad Can I Be?" song is now a staple on children's radio. Yes, those are the voices of Zac Efron, Taylor Swift and Betty White helping out.?(Out on DVD and Blu-ray Aug. 7.)

FRIDAY: 'The Bourne Legacy'
Goodbye, Matt Damon, hello Jeremy Renner. "Jason Bourne was the tip of the iceberg," the trailer for "The Bourne Legacy" announces. Only loosely based on the Robert Ludlum novel, the film?replaces its former?action-franchise star, Damon,?with Renner, and also stars Edward Norton and?Rachel?Weisz. Albert Finney, Joan Allen, David Strathairn and Scott Glenn return from earlier films. Renner is accustomed to action -- moviegoers recently saw him as Hawkeye in "The Avengers" and?starring with Tom Cruise in "Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol."?(Aug. 10)

SUNDAY: Shark Week begins
Better enjoy all the ocean swimming you want now, because the 25th anniversary of? the Discovery Channel's Shark Week is about to scare you out of the water. The week offers eight new sharky specials. We're especially interested in "Shark Week's 25 Best Bites," which highlights the toothy treasures of the past quarter-century. "How Jaws Changed the World" looks at the legendary film's history, and "Adrift: 47 Days With Sharks" has the kind of title that really says it all. Duuun-dun. Duuuun-duh. Dun-dun-dun-dun-dun-dun-dun, da-na-na!(Shark Week kicks off Aug. 12, 9 p.m., Discovery.)
