Release Date: June 14th 2011

Age Group: Young Adult?

Pages:?400

One hour to rewrite the past . . .

For seventeen-year-old Emerson Cole, life is about seeing what isn?t there: swooning Southern Belles; soldiers long forgotten; a haunting jazz trio that vanishes in an instant. Plagued by phantoms since her parents? death, she just wants the apparitions to stop so she can be normal. She?s tried everything, but the visions keep coming back.

So when her well-meaning brother brings in a consultant from a secretive organization called the Hourglass, Emerson?s willing to try one last cure. But meeting Michael Weaver may not only change her future, it may change her past.
Who is this dark, mysterious, sympathetic guy, barely older than Emerson herself, who seems to believe every crazy word she says? Why does an electric charge seem to run through the room whenever he?s around? And why is he so insistent that he needs her help to prevent a death that never should have happened?

Full of atmosphere, mystery, and romance, Hourglass merges the very best of the paranormal and science-fiction genres in a seductive, remarkable young adult debut.

My Thoughts:?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

The Hourglass is a MUST READ! Time traveling, ghost (aka rips), and a steamy romance(good guys included), do I need to say more? This book wasn?t what I expected, actually, I didn?t know what to expect really. The best part about Hourglass, was that it kept me on my toes (unless I skipped ahead to see if Michael was ever going to kiss Em lol) We meet Emerson ?Em? whose had a rough past. After everything that?s happened, I don?t know if being part of the Hourglass is a good thing or bad thing. But she meet?s Michael and they have this electrifying attraction (like literally.) I never questioned Michael?s motives because he is a genuine, good guy. ?He has a little bit of a hero complex, He put?s everything above himself for the greater good. I appreciate that about him. As for Kaleb, I got the guy. I liked him. I read in a Novel Novice interview with McEntire ?that ? He?s not part of a love triangle. He?s part of a love ?two-angle and a half. It?s largely one-sided.? Kaleb cares about Michael too much to go after Em. That?s what makes Kaleb so swoon worthy(and totally available lol). We'll just have to see what happens... #TEAMGOODGUYS!

I loved McEntire?s elegant writing, woven together perfectly with characters I know you?ll love. They?re a family ? not matter what. They?re so many twists in this story, it keeps you turning the pages. I can?t wait to see what happens next! ?More time-traveling-awesome-Em-with-Micheal-on-the-side-please!
